By submitting a tip through the LiveSafe app you can help your organization reduce the amount of risk in your environment and help your community become a safer place. Not 100 percent sure how to submit a tip? We can help with that. The process shown below will provide you with the information you need to submit your first tip.
After opening the LiveSafe app, tap the "Report Tips" button. Depending on your organizations preferences, this button may be labeled "Report Suspicious Activity" or "Report Incident"
You will be presented with a variety of tip types to choose from. Your organization can choose up to 12 tip types to present users on this screen - the types shown below are an example of what you might see.
Tap on one of the tip types offered by your organization to move forward in the tip-submittal process.
After you have selected the type of tip you would like to submit, you will be presented with the screen shown below. From this screen, you have the option to attach different types of media - audio, video, or a picture - to your tip. Attaching media is not mandatory, but could be beneficial to your organization in their response to your tip.
3a. Enter the details of the information you would like to share with your organization in the dark grey box located beneath the media attachment options.
3b. If your organization has enabled the feature to submit tips anonymously, you can select to be anonymous by toggling the "Send Anonymously" feature on - when the feature is off, the circle will be on the left side (as shown); when the feature is on, the circle will be on the right side.
After entering the details of your tip and attaching any media, if you choose to do so, tap the SEND button at the bottom of the screen.
After Submitting a Tip
Once you submit a tip, you have the option to chat with the LiveSafe Command Dashboard administrator that receives your tip. After pressing SEND, a screen will appear on your device from which you can initiate a chat conversation.
Note: "Your organization" will be replaced with the name of the organization you submitted the tip to.
If you initially select "Back to Home" and later decide you would like to initiate a chat conversation, we can help you with that! Use the process below to open a chat window:
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of your screen
- Tap My Activity, located at the top of the menu that appear.
You will be presented with a list of all the tips you have submitted, with the most recent being at the top of the list.
- Tap the tip you would like to chat about.
A chat window will open and you can begin your conversation.
