Attaching an image file to your broadcasts can help you better communicate with your community. If it is reported that a suspicious individual is in the area, an organization could link to a photo of the suspect in its broadcast. Users would then have both a detailed explanation of the perpetrator’s behavior and a physical image they could refer to anytime on their mobile phone. Images can also provide additional information about events or new policies.
Please note: When adding a visual aid to your message, you are not directly attaching an image to the message. Instead, you are attaching a Bitly link that users click on to access the image.
To attach a link to an image in the broadcast:
- Click “Attach Image” and then “Choose File” to select the media or image file you would like to add to the broadcast.
- Click “Upload Image.” A thumbnail of the attached media should appear in the pop up. Select the check box on the media you would like linked in the broadcast.
- Click “Insert Link”.
